It is going to be more difficult to come across free Yorkie puppies than those you have to pay for. That is due to the high demand for this breed of dog.

People who have them know there is a very good chance they can get money for them. If they have had to pay for medical bills for the mother then they often want to at least get that cost back on the sale of the puppies.

There are times though when you will come across free Yorkshire terriers. However you are going to have to keep an eye out for them. Once the ads are released that owner is going to be getting plenty of contacts from people wanting to take the puppies home.

If you are looking online, in the classified ads, and even at the grocery store bulletin boards you can find them first.

Call to set up a time to see the free puppies as soon as you can. This way they won’t all be gone before you get your hands on them.

Some people are hesitant to contact someone about free pups. They may assume there is something wrong with them. However, you need to give the owner the benefit of the doubt.

It is certainly fine to ask why they are giving away the puppies instead of selling them. It could be they just want the dogs to go to a good home. They don’t have the time or energy to take care of so many puppies.

Perhaps they got their own dog from someone advertising free puppies. Therefore they want to be able to pass on that generosity to other people.

It is important to ask if the free Yorkshire terriers are full blooded though. Sometimes you will discover they are a mix breed and therefore won’t warrant the money that is being asked for them.

Still, you may find you really like the appearance of the particular dogs and therefore you are interested in bringing one of them home. It is important to ask what the other breed involved is so that you can have an idea of how big it will be.

If you are adopting a dog, don’t assume they are always puppies either. If the advertisement doesn’t specify that information then you need to ask. It may be one they have had for a couple of years but just can’t take care of for some reason.

People’s lifestyles can change and not allow them to provide the time and care that their dog needs.

Still, there are times when you will find free puppies offered so be on the look out for them. They will go very fast as they usually cost hundreds of dollars from breeders and even private owners.

If you continue to look diligently, you will hopefully come across the information for the perfect Yorkie that you have been searching for.

Don’t let a lack of money prevent you from owning the dog you really want to have in your home. Yorkshire terriers are great companions so if you can get one for free it will be a dream come true.

However it does take persistence and plenty of searching in order to make it happen. It will all be worth it though when you have one in your arms to take home.
