If you are interested in owning a Yorkshire terrier you may be wondering where to start in order to make it all happen for you.
There are plenty of options though and knowing what all is available is very important. That way you can choose the one that seems to be the best fit for you.
Most people are in the market for Yorkshire terrier puppies. They want to be able to have the very cute baby stages to experience with their pet.
They also want one that has a long life ahead of it. An older dog may not live as long and it may have some habits that aren’t appealing due to the care it got from the previous owner.
With that in mind though you can usually get an older Yorkshire terrier for much less money. It may be one from a breeder that they won’t be using to create offspring anymore.
It could be that the current owner can no longer care for it due to health issues or other concerns. They may even be offering the Yorkshire terrier for free to a good home as they want it to be well cared for.
The most expensive Yorkies are those that are extremely small in size. As a full adult the teacup Yorkshire terrier only weighs between 3 and 5 pounds.
That is a very small dog that you can carry around and that won’t take up much room in your home. Teacup Yorkies generally cost a couple thousand dollars depending on the breeder you get it from and the quality of the parents it comes from.
